MFT Sketch Challenge 242

This week I played along with MFT's sketch challenge #242. It has been a while since I have played along with these challenges, but finally had some time to do so this week.

I used a new digi stamp that I purchases from Make It Crafty, Chasing Nova. I had some difficulty coloring the hair because their is so much of it. I think it turned out okay though. Hope everyone has a great day!

Birthday Card for My Grandmother

Recently, I saw this digi stamp (Gift from Millie) on Crafty Bits you tube channel and just loved it. So I decided to create this card using that stamp for my grandmother's birthday.

I really like this stamp. She always turns out so cute!

Happy Birthday Grandma Cash!

Good morning everyone! Today my grandmother turns 84 years old and she is still as active as ever. My grandmother volunteer's for both hospice and meals on wheels. She is part of a quilting group and active member of her church. I sure hope that I have as much energy when I am 84 as she still does.

Obviously, the card for today is for my grandmother. I used another digital stamp from Little Blue Button-Miss Lilly Happy B-day. I also used the sketch from Match the Sketch Blog.

The die-namics come from My Favorite Things Fishtail Pierced Die-namics. The paper is still from the Doodlebug paper pack-sunkissed. Thank you everyone for stopping by and I hope you all have a great week.

My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #236

Thank you cards seem to be in demand at my house these days. So I used the latest sketch challenge from My Favorite Things to create this one.

I used papers from the Doodlebug sunkissed pack and the Pure Innocence I Pick You stamp. The background stamp is BG Gingham Background stamp from MFT and the die-namic is from the Die-namics Tag Builder Blueprint 3.

Hope everyone has an awesome weekend!

Paper Players and Bellarific Friday Cards

Wow, my two days off went by super fast. I still have a long to do list left and my last day off is almost over. I hate how that always seems to happen. Oh well. I did manage to complete two cards over the last two days. Funny how the things you like doing manage to get done when other things don't.

My first card was for this week's Bellarific Friday Challenge. The challenge was to use any Christine Grove stamping bella image. I chose Senorita Beverly. I think this stamp is cute and funny. I unfortunately only have two Christine Grove stamps even though I LOVE stamping bella stamps.

I also used my mother's Stabilo pens. I am trying to work on my skill with these pens and water coloring in general. Not very skilled when it comes to water color. The sentiment that comes with this stamp is awesome. " anyone who thinks that sunshine is pure happiness, has never danced in the rain".

My second card is for the Paper Player's Challenge which is the great outdoors. A theme challenge. I just received my latest Simon Says Stamp order and decided to use the Mama Elephant - Chance of Rain stamp set. What is more outdoors than rain?

Second Thank You Note for Mom's Family in California

I whipped up this card for one of my mom's thank you notes using the MFT sketch challenge for week of July 1 to July 7th.

I used  a little blue button stamp. Digital stamp of course called Miss Lilly Tea Cup. I did use the stitched circle die-namic from My Favorite Things and the sun kissed paper pack from Doodlebug. Here is the card:

Thank You Card #1 for My Mother's Family in California

I am trying to get the hang of this blogging thing. I am not usually very good with putting words on paper. I have discovered though the best way to enter card and craft challenges is with a blog. My mother just came home from vacation with her mom, sister and best friend for 50 years. As soon as she arrived, she instructed me that she needed three thank you cards. Apparently, they want to thank their family in California for letting them stay at their homes while there.

Recently, I have been playing with the concept of digital stamps. So I decided to create a thank you card using a digital stamp from Tiddly Inks. This is one of the free digital stamps, but I have purchases several other ones. I just really liked this one.

Also, I am not all that creative on my own. So I used the sketch from Your Next Stamp. Below is a picture of sketch challenge number 17.

I used copic markers to color the image and CC Design's copic quality 110lb cardstock. I love this paper. I have tried other papers and none have matched this one so far. I also used the doodlebug sunkissed 6 x 6 paper pad for layers. Hope everyone is having a great week!

Created 2 cards using new stamps from my collection

In addition to the previous card, I created 2 other cards. This first card was also colored with the new Stabilo pens and on watercolor paper. I was having trouble coming up with a card composition so I used the sketch from your next stamp.

I used the cc designs A Random Fan Autry's Book Club rubber stamp. This is my first time to color this image and I used to much brown.

The last card is a new type of stamp for me. It is a digi stamp from Little Blue Button Stamps. The stamp is called Miss Lilly Chef. I used copics for this one but got a little frustrated with the paper. I used a new paper for me from Stamping Bella. I absolutely love those stamps but prefer the CC designs copic quality 110 pound card stock for coloring.

Erin is my niece's name and I made this card for her. I was going to have it say "Happy Independence Day" but I didn't have that sentiment.

MFT Sketch Challenge for the week of June 17th

This week I had 4 days off from work. During that time, I got absolutely nothing done except for creating cards. I guess at least I created a few cards. I can't believe I have been so lazy. Oh well. The first card I created was for this week's sketch challenge at MFT.

I used MFT's new BB Adventure is calling stamp set. My mother recently got some new Stabilo pens and tried them out on this card. Watercolor is not my strong suit, so the pens were a bit of a challenge. Here is the card:

Another Card for My Little Brother.

My mom tells me she wants me to create a card for my brother using her new dog stamps. So I went online and decided that I would play along with the MFT sketch challenge this week,

Here is the card. Hopefully, this is what she wanted.

Here is the inside of the card:

Younger Brother turns 33 this week!

So my younger brother is turning 33 this Sunday. Just saying that makes me feel really old. Oh well. I decided to make his card using the sketch from the Paper Player's Challenge this week.

I always have trouble coming up with a male type card. All of my stamps and dies seem to fit females instead of the male. So I decided to use mainly paper to create the card. I used some of the paper I received from Simon Says Stamps March card kit. I was having a hard time coming up with ways to use this kit. I think all in all the card came out ok. I just hope my brother decides it is manly enough.

Card for MFT's Wednesday sketch challenge and Mom.

I just received my new MFT stamps and dies from this month's release. I am so excited to use them. I decided I want to participate in this week's sketch challenge.

Also, my mom has been under the weather this week. So I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to create her a get well soon card using the new stamps. Here is the card:

Erin's Birthday Card

My niece turns 16 this week. I am totally blown away. It was just yesterday that I was getting the phone call at A&M that I had a niece. Well I totally had to make her a birthday card with my new car stamp. I used the MFT sketch from this week to create the card.

Here is the card.
