New Card Featuring the S'more Gnome Dies from Jaded Blossom

I created a birthday card for one of my friends using the Girl Gnome Dies and S'more Die Add ons from Jaded Blossom. I first die cut all the dies using my Anna Griffin Empress Mini die cutting machine. The paper I used was from Doodlebug Outdoors collection. I also used various scraps of cardstock in my stash.

I did add some ink to the marshmallow die cut and then assembled the everything together. I did not use a sketch this time but created a background with patterned paper and a 2-inch strip that was on the left side of the card. I also used an oval die cut to cut a vellum oval and placed my gnome on it. I stamped a sentiment from the s'more sentiment set and that completed the card.

The video is on YouTube if you want to watch me make this card.

Thank you so much! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Butterfly Happy Birthday Card

Good day everyone! How is everyone today? The weather is driving my allergies crazy this week. How about everyone else?

Today I created a card using the products I picked up from scapbook.com. Scrapbook.com had a stamp set, paper pad and die set bundle onset and I also received a butterfly die set as part of my free gift. I decided I needed to create a card using these supplies.

I started by cutting a piece of silver glitter cardstock to 5 3/8 by 4 1/8. I also chose one of the pink papers from the paper pad and cut it into the same size. I then used a die from MFT designed to create a decorative edge. This die set may be retired, but many stamp companies have these dies. Once I die cut the glitter paper, I then placed the background die for the butterflies on the glitter paper. Using the background die, I cut the small butterfly out of the glitter paper 3 different times. I then cut out 3 small butterflies from some scrap white card stock. I glued everything down with my barely art glue and stamped a sentiment from the stamp set, Happy Birthday. I cut the sentiment out using a sentiment banner die then placed on the card using barely art glue. Lastly, I glued several Studio Katia silver pearls onto the pink background paper to add some interest. That complete the card.

Butterfly Thank You Card

Good afternoon, everyone! It is finally raining here in Texas! YAY! It has been so dry this summer, not mentioning how hot it has been. I am just so grateful; it has finally decided to rain for a change. Unfortunately, that does not mean cooler temperatures. It is still going to be in the 100's for the next few days. It is September, the temperature is supposed to be going down. UGH! How about everyone else? Has it been extremely hot where you guys live?

Anyway, I created this card using a few different alcohol inks and some butterfly dies from MFT. Unfortunately, this die is no longer available, but I did link a similar die set below. Using Yupo paper, I created an alcohol ink background using a few different pink alcohol inks and a silver mixative. Then I created some sparkle paper using a silver sparkle spray and white cardstock. I cut the butterflies out of the alcohol background and some Simon Says Stamp silver glitter paper. Using the Lawn Fawn Scripty Thanks die set, I cut out the sentiment, Thanks.

Using up my scraps from the Doodlebug Design's paper pad the Great Outdoors.

Hello everyone, today I am trying to use up those scraps from my previous doodlebug great outdoors cards. I measured out each piece of paper to determine the size then went in search of matching sketches. I found three sketches that worked for my purposes and here are those cards.

Please watch video below or on YouTube here.

Card #1 using card sketch from Mojo Monday Mojo#498.

Second card using sketch 300 from sweet sunday.

Final sketch is from MFT and is my favorite for using up those small scraps. Sketch MFTWSC472.

Playing with Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Pencils

Hello everyone. I have finally edited and uploaded my second card video. Woohoo! This video editing stuff is more of a learning curve than I thought. Hopefully over the next few weeks, I will get better at it.

View on youtube

Anyway, today I created two cards using the new Tim Holtz distress watercolor pencils. So far, I really enjoy playing with them. It is kind of like having 2 color mediums in one. This background scene was created using the pencils. I was able to draw in the design then paint in the color.

I created 2 backgrounds this way then converted them into cards. For the first card, I used the following sketch.

Doodlebug design's seaside summer paper pad was used for the patterned paper. Also, Pink and Main glossy dots in rainbow were used for embellishments.

On the second card, I used the following sketch from Sweet Sunday.

Using the same paper pad and embellishments, this is my second card.

Cards using Doodlebug Design's Great Outdoors

Today I thought I would play around with some of my supplies and create 3 different cards. On these cards, I tried to make backgrounds using different methods. For my first card, I created a mountain scene backgrounds using the Winter Wonderland stencil set from Honeybee Stamps. The seconds card's background was created using dies from Lawn Fawn. The last card's scene was created using stamps from the doodlebug great outdoors stamp set.

The video above can also be watched here.

Created this background using the Honeybee stamps Winter Wonderland stencil set. I did apply tumbled glass distress oxide ink to back of circle. Then using mermaid lagoon distress oxide ink for the mountain range. Lastly, I used mowed lawn distress oxide ink for the greener at the bottom.

For this background, I used Lawn Fawn's mountain die and grass die to create the die cuts.

On my third background, I used images from the great outdoor stamp set. I stamped and colored 2 mountains and 2 trees. I then fussy cut both out with a small white border. I did use another Lawn Fawn die cut to create the grass on the bottom.

I then took these three scenes and made them into cards using the Doodlebug Design Great Outdoor 6 x 6 paper pad.

Easter Cards Four and Five

Yay! I managed to get the 5 Easter Cards done that I needed for my friends. I actually did these this weekend but was unable to put them up until now.

I used more of the Lawn Fawn perfectly plaid paper pad. The die is one of the picture book dies from Simon Says Stamp. I really enjoyed playing with playbook die. This is the first time I have used them.

I created this card using the same supplies as before except using the MFT collage cover up die.
